Inside Fearne Cotton's wild love life – 'good in bed' sex boast to dating 'bad boys'

TV presenter, Radio DJ, and mum of two Fearne Cotton has lead an exciting love life in her 39 years.

Making her first appearance on our screens in 1996 at just 15 years old, Fearne began in children’s television but has gone on to present Top of the Pops and Red Nose Day.

Fearne has also become well loved for her jokes on Celebrity Juice and The X Factor.

She boasted about her sex skills in 2007 to The Sun, saying: “I can do the splits, which is a great skill to have. I used to be a dancer so I am very…flexible. I’m naturally bendy. If blokes want to explore that quality, then that’s up to them.”

Aged 25 at the time, she was also dating skateboarder Jesse Jenkins and said that now she was older she was better in bed, enjoyed sex four times a night, wore lingerie and high heels and got Brazilian waxes regularly.

She revealed that she had got to the age where she felt more confident in bed than she ever has, saying: “I feel like a proper woman.”

“I like my body and I like sex. So, yeah, I’m good in bed. I’ll throw that out there. ‘I’m Good In Bed Says Fearne!’ There’s your headline.” She continued.

Despite the excellent body confidence, Fearne had picked up some bad boys along the way.

Looking back she said: “When I was younger, I went for bad boys so I could live vicariously through them but still be square and good, which I am at heart.

“But, looking back, I wish I hadn’t bothered with most of them.

“It was way more hassle than it was worth and I wasn’t being me; I was so insecure about who I was that I would try to be a different person every time. I gave too much.”

It came to a head when Fearne was covering the Royal wedding of Kate and William in 2011 that she realised she needed to step back from her own relationship which begun in 2008.

“I was right outside the palace gates watching it all take place, and it started to hit home that it wasn’t going to happen for me. And it was pretty much straight after that, that it all just imploded.”

She had already bought a wedding dress and booked a venue as Jesse Jenkins had proposed to her on her 29th birthday

Fearne revealed soon after the Royal wedding that her own relationship crumbled as she said: ‘It was such a beautiful thing watching them get married. I mean I was there doing all the reporting.”

When the couple took a break, Jesse married model Hannah Ware at the Chapel Of The Bells in Las Vegas, but they only lasted a fortnight.

She said: “We all try and control things and grab hold of that and think if I map out my future I’ll be safe – I won’t have to deal with failure… the engagement ended. It was a weird life shake up that I hadn’t really expected.”

Getting vulnerable, Fearne admitted: “My rock-bottom moment was probably a failed engagement when I was 29. That felt pretty crap.

“It was around the time of the royal wedding so there was this big thing about marriage everywhere, but my life was the opposite of that. I thought, ‘Oh, that’s me then. I’m not going to meet anyone now.’

“Plus, I’ve always wanted kids so I started to think, ‘Should I adopt one day?’ What you don’t know at the time is that as one door closes, another opens – and, soon after, I met the love of my life and got to have a baby.”

Fearne and Jesse Jenkins split nine months after ending their engagement.

Luckily, Fearne met Jesse Wood, 43, in 2011 and the rest is history.

Explaining how they met, Fearne said: “Jesse and I met through a friend in a restaurant in Ibiza and we just clicked… I don’t think there’s anything you can really pinpoint when it happens like that.

“I’d been in love before, but this was different. He makes me laugh, and he balances me out… He makes me laugh all the time and he’s so chilled out. He’s been to hell and back in certain ways, so nothing fazes him; he takes it all with a pinch of salt.”

Jesse is a bassist and the son of Rolling Stones rock legend Ronnie Wood, 72.

The couple have been married since July 2014, so over seven years now.

They started dating in 2011 so have been together for around 10 years, 2 months, and 25 days.

Fearne had her first child, Rex Rayne Wood, in 2013 and has said children changed her work/life attitude completely.

She said: “Having Rex has been a perspective changer and it’s made me look at the industry differently. I work to live now rather than live to work.

“All those clichéd things have happened – I’m more overwhelmed and full of love than you can ever imagine because I’ve not had it before … my main priority is looking after this little man. And I feel totally over the moon that I’ve been able to do this.

Jesse Wood and Fearne also had daughter Honey Krissy Wood in 2015.
