Jesy Nelson, 29, has split with her record label in the clearest sign yet that any future music career will go in a different direction than that she has done before.
When the starlet was part of Little Mix Jesy was signed to RCA, but Daily Star can reveal she is no longer with the label which is part of the Sony Music umbrella.
In fact, it’s thought she has left Sony altogether in a bid to pursue different avenues.
While Jesy quit the group in December last year, the starlet could have opted to stay on at the label for future projects.
A source said: “It’s no secret Jesy has been hitting the studio recently but she’s no longer with RCA.

“It looks almost certain that she’s parted ways with Sony as a whole as well.
“She’s looked for a whole new team and since splitting with Little Mix Jesy has been pitched around for a new PR to head up her upcoming projects.

Sony Music has refused to deny claims Jesy has split with them as a whole despite being given multiple opportunities by Daily Star.
They are yet to offer any official comment.
Little Mix signed a deal with the label in 2018 before releasing their fifth studio album LM5 that year and more recently Confetti in 2020.
Prior to LM5’s release they were signed to Simon Cowell’s label Syco, which has since closed.

Over the past few weeks Jesy has been taking to her official Instagram page to share pictures of videos of her in the studio.
While it’s not known what she is recording, fans have flocked to social media in excitement that she is working on solo music.
Daily Star revealed last month how Little Mix management had launched an investigation after their first single as a trio leaked online.
The song, called Heartbreak Anthem, is a David Guetta collaboration featuring electronic duo Galantis.
In the track, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall sing about moving on from a break-up over synths.
The music video is set to be filmed by the trio in the coming weeks.
A source at the time said: “Little Mix’s management are looking into how the song appeared online as a matter of urgency.
“Heartbreak Anthem is a sugar sweet pop collab with David Guetta and Galantis – it has a 2011 vibe.
“No artist wants their music to leak ahead of it being announced but with this being Little Mix’s first single without Jesy it’s even more frustrating.”
