Actor John Travolta wishes his late wife, actress Kelly Preston happy birthday on Instagram.
After a two-year battle with breast cancer, The Jerry Maguire star passed away in July 2020.
This year she would have been 58-years-old.
The Grease star was married to Kelly for 29 years, after meeting during a screen test for the comedy film The Experts.
John shared a picture of the actress at the Cannes Film Festival as she smiled and waved on the red carpet.
The Hollywood actor penned: “Happy Birthday Kelly. We miss and love you very much.”
Speaking on Kevin Hart’s talk show Hart to Heart, John, 67, revealed he had to discuss mortality with his 10-year-old son Ben after his spouse’s death.

John explained how his child has been very honest and open about his feelings and brought the topic up to him.
The actor expressed how Ben sad “said to me once, ‘because mom passed away, I’m afraid you’re going to.'”
John said he attempted to explain the circumstances to his son and pointed out how he and his mom were different people.

He recalled: “I said, ‘Well, it’s a very different thing.’ And I went through the differences about my longevity and her limited life.
“But you know, Ben…you always love the truth and I’m going to tell you the truth about life. Nobody knows when they’re gonna go or when they’re going to stay.”‘
John explained to Kevin Hart how he discussed the challenges of living with grief and loss as a part of life.

He told Ben: ‘”I could die tomorrow. You could. Anybody can. So let’s look at it like it’s part of life. You don’t know exactly. You just do your best at trying to live the longest you can.”‘
The actor recalled Ben asking: “Does 30 years ago seem like a long time?’ I said, ‘Yeah.’ He said, ‘Don’t you think you have 30 more years in your life to live?’ I said, Yeah, I do.'”

John went on to explain how mature his son’s response was.
He said: “What’s wrong with that?” This is a 10-year-old telling me that! It changed my viewpoint.”
John and Kelly married in 1991 and have three children, they welcomed their first son Jett in 1992.
They then had Ben who is 10-years-old and a daughter Ella who was born in 2000.
The family first faced tragedy when their oldest child, Jett, passed away while on holiday in the Bahamas in 2009.
