Kerry Katona has been forced to put a lock on her bedroom door to ensure that she is able to get some alone time with her fiancé Ryan Mahoney.
The 40-year-old has now had to go to extreme lengths to keep her brood at bay so that she and her gym-buff boyfriend can get steamy between the sheets.
She explained that she had reached the decision to have the lock fitted after her youngest Dylan-Jorge (DJ) had been sleeping in her bed following the death of her father and Kerry’s former husband George Kay in 2019.
One year on from his passing, The Atomic Kitten star came up with a tactical plan to lure her daughter back into her own bedroom, giving her and Ryan some needed privacy.

The mother-of-five plotted with DJ that they would make her room “really special” so that she would go back to sleeping on her own – with the cunning plan seemingly working a treat.
With a busy household that includes Molly, 19; Lilly-Sue, 17; Heidi, 13; Maxwell, 12, and Dylan-Jorge, six, Kerry knew that she had to get her personal space back.
Speaking on the Hot Mess Mums podcast, she said: “On DJ my youngest, she lost her dad last year unfortunately, so she always wants to get into bed with us.

“So instead I made her room really special, and then had to put a lock on my door, and then when they ask me to leave the door open I have to say, ‘If I leave that open you’ll hear me having sex!'”
On the broadcast, the former I’m A Celebrity star also explained that her romance with Ryan is on the right track, with the pair still taking things slowly.
Knowing that she may have plunged in head first with some of her former flames she quipped that she’d have probably been “married, pregnant or divorced” – if any of her past relationships were anything to go by.

She jokingly added: “Me and Ryan have been together for two and a half years, normally within that time I’m married, pregnant and divorced, so I’m doing something different this time.”
Although the couple are taking things in their stride and at their own pace, Kerry wasn’t ruling out the possibility of getting pregnant again at some point later down the line.
However, she was fully aware of the consequences after nearly losing DJ at birth and almost dying herself that carrying another child would be too risky for her own body – leading to Kerry’s mum giving her a stern warning about future offspring.
Considering all of the factors and her mum’s words of wisdom, the ex hitmaker explained her thinking: “I think if I were to have kids with Ryan, as we would have really good looking kids, I would have to do surrogacy.”
