Loose Women host Ruth Langsford has sparked an outcry as the show’s viewers voice the need for her to change her hair.
The host stepped out wearing a red wig on Wednesday’s programme and fans loved her new look and urged her to change it permanently.
The TV presenter was back on the panel of the ITV show alongside Coleen Nolan, Janet Street-Porter and Jane Moore.
With resident red-head Janet on the panel, Ruth revealed that a new study suggested red-heads have “more romantic relationships” than those with any other hair colour.
After coming back from an ad break, Ruth then welcomed viewers to the show as she swished her new maroon bob from side to side.
Ruth began: “Welcome back to Loose Women. It’s me.”
The presenter then struck a few poses for the camera, causing Coleen to say: “You look gorgeous.”
Coleen was also donning a bright red, longer-length wig.
To which Ruth replied: “I quite like this colour.”
The Nolan sister then interjected: “I’ve ended up with that,” as she pointed at her wig.
Ruth looked towards Janet and said: “I’m channelling a bit of you today I think.”
“Are you taking that wig home to Eamonn,” Janet cheekily quipped.
Ruth then joked: “I think he quite likes a red-head, Eamonn.”
Fans of the show viewers were also in agreement with the other host and made a plea to Ruth.
One fan tweeted: “Ruth looks incredible with ginger hair. Please keep it, Ruth!! We need another ginger representative.”
While another said: “OMG Ruth Langsford with red hair is a LOOK! She looks so much younger.”
A third penned: “Loose Women girls should all take a trip to the hair salon to dye their hair red. It looked gorgeous on them all.”
A fourth then wrote: “Nearly spat out my tea when I saw her on my telly. In fairness, she looked great in it.”
This comes after Ruth Langsford took a swipe at Meghan Markle’s estranged father Thomas during a scathing rant on air.
The 61-year-old host labelled him as “cruel” for “emotionally blackmailing” his royal daughter.
The ITV host said that he was doing so by continuing to give interviews where he chooses to blast to her.
After Thomas’ recent Good Morning Britain interview, Ruth said she felt sorry for him but thinks it’s “awkward” how he tries to gain Meghan’s attention despite several failed attempts.
Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV at 12.30pm*
