Lorraine fans say S Club's Jo O'Meara is 'unrecognisable' as she debuts new look

Lorraine viewers were stunned when S Club 7 star Jo O’Meara revealed her dramatic new look on the famous ITV chat show.

The 42-year-old singer and former Celebrity Big Brother star made an appearance on Thursday’s show, where she chatted to host Christine Lampard about her brand new solo album.

However, her fans at home were left rather distracted with Jo’s appearance during the interview, with many suggesting that they didn’t recognise the singer.

Puzzled viewers rushed to Twitter to react to the singer, with some even claiming that she had a “new face”.

One penned: “What has she done to her face?!”

A second commented: “Wish these people would stop changing the faces I can’t recognise her.”

A third said: “Yikes! Jo O’Meara looks different?”

A fourth added: “What the hell has Jo O’Meara done to her face?”

Jo was delighted to have been on Lorraine, though, because she tweeted: “Thank you so much for having me on @reallorraine ! And big Thank you to @clbleakley [Christine].”

Brave Jo opened up about her new health kick on social media last year.

Sharing a before and after photo of her face, Jo highlighted the positive results she had received after swapping out booze and cigarettes for a healthy diet and regime of regular exercise.

She penned: “Just goes to show you [what] dedication can do!

“Eating clean, training hard, quitting smoking, and quitting alcohol! I feel like a different person!”

Jo rose to fame with S Club 7 in 1999 alongside her bandmates Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh, Rachel Stevens, Tina Barrett, Paul Cattermole and Hannah Spearritt.

The pop band’s first single, Bring It All Back, went straight to Number One that year, and the group went on to enjoy four UK Number One singles as well as a chart-topping album.

Jo famously appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2007, where she found herself at the centre of a race row on the show.

Jo, Danielle Lloyd and Jade Goody were accused of racist and bullying behaviour towards their fellow contestant Shilpa Shetty – and the incident sparked a record number of Ofcom complaints at the time.

In 2008, O’Meara said she was “well on the way to recovery from the aftermath of the Big Brother controversy”.
