So far, ITV have tried their very best to keep information on the new series fairly confidential and have not disclosed definite contestants that will be joining the 2021 series.
However, some potential candidates have slipped through the net and have been rumoured to be entering into the villa this year.
According to recent reports, Love Island will possibly have its first disabled contestant on the show after programme producers reached out directly to influencers who have visible disabilities.
Reports claim that ITV have contacted para-athlete and influencer Milly Pickles.
Milly, 26, is a professional Gymshark and Free-train athlete who has almost 25,000 followers on Instagram and would be a perfect addition for the dating show.
Talking to The Sun, a close source said: “Casting are actively approaching for someone who visibly has a disability.
“It’s all part of the show trying to be as diverse as possible.
“The final line-up hasn’t been sorted yet but it would be ideal if they had at least one disabled islander.”
On the hunt to make this year’s series as diverse as it can get, Love Island producers are also looking for contestants who are a part of the LGBTQ+ community to take part – despite speaking of logistic difficulties previously.
Casting bosses also teamed up with dating app Tinder in order to recruit a number of “fast track” applicants for the new series.
Producers also opted to advertise the programme on both straight profiles and LGBTQ+ profiles within the much-loved dating app.
Talking about this in more detail, a source revealed: “ITV and Love Island teamed up with Tinder earlier this year to find a new batch of islanders.”

“The ads have been showing up on both male and female gay accounts as well as on those of straight people.”
This year’s series is scheduled to return to the sunny island of Majorca, although it has been reported that there may be a back up location in Jersey in case of any Covid complications.
