ITV bosses have now confirmed Love Island’s second contestant to enter the villa and he has a rather surprising Royal Family connection.
On Monday, Love Island’s official Instagram page made the surprising announcement with a short clip of the gorgeous contestant. The caption read: “Roll out the red carpet for VIP events host Aaron, his name is definitely on our guestlist this summer.”
London-based Aaron Francis, 24, is a luxury events host who previously worked at both Princess Eugenie and Beatrice’s weddings.
Providing further details on the connection, Aaron explained: “Yeah, Eugenie and Beatrice’s over the summer. I hosted and chatted. It was nice and intimate.
“Everyone’s chill. In my job you meet a lot of famous people… unless you’re Beyonce, I’m not really interested.
When asked about his reason for why he decided to join Love Island, the hunk explained: “I’ve been single for about six or seven months and the dating world at the moment is a little bit off.”
The new islander also expressed that he has found dating difficult during lockdown and due to the fact that masks have to be worn to dates, Aaron said that this has also been a challenge.
Aaron is looking for something long-lasting and is not too keen on finding someone who “lives for the weekend”.
He also explained that he wants to find someone who is passionate about what they do. He isn’t too fussed about the industry they work in, but would love if they were ambitious.
Aaron is the second confirmed candidate that will enter Love Island this year.
Beauty queen and multi-lingual lawyer Sharon Gaffka was the first confirmed contestant looking for love in the new series.
After one year away from our screens, the new series of Love Island is highly anticipated amongst fans.
Producers have also worked tirelessly to ensure that this season ticks all the boxes.
To ensure this year is as diverse as possible, potential Love Island candidates could apply for the new series via Tinder.
Last week, ITV bosses also announced that the new islanders will undergo an an increased “duty of care” from the show. To ensure this takes place, they are hiring a new clinical psychologist, Dr Matthew Gould.
The Islanders will also receive mandatory therapy sessions, extensive social media training which will include how to handle trolls and financial advice.
