Love Island hunk Wes Nelson breaks down in tears during gruelling Celebrity SAS process

Love Island star Wes Nelson has got used to a life of luxury after he achieved his goal of becoming a millionaire last year.

But the 23-year-old has ditched the cushy lifestyle for the gruelling selection process special force soldiers go through to enrol in the armed forces.

The See Nobody singer was the latest to join Celebrity SAS but the star has admitted he cried for the first time in several years on the show as he tried his best to complete the exhausting survival competition.

And the Stoke-born reality star admitted to his 1.6 million fans that the course itself was exactly as hard as it looks on the telly and explained he “hated” Ant Middleton for all the hard work he put him through.

The TV star announced the news on his Instagram account on Sunday after he shared a lengthy post which summed up his time on the grizzling show alongside TV presenter Ore Oduba.

He penned: “I’m excited to announce I’m gonna be a part of this year’s Celebrity SAS Who Dares Wins!”

The star was brutally honest about his challenging time on the show and admitted: “I was gonna say how difficult the course is but tbh it’s just plain f****d up!!”

Wes revealed how emotionally and physically draining the entire experience was for him as he shared the news with his loyal legion of fans ahead of the first episode this Sunday.

He added: “I’ve never been so humbled in my life! It broke me down, built me up and completely changed me as a person. I couldn’t be more grateful!

“I’m not a guy who tends to show my weaknesses mentally or physically but thanks to @antmiddleton and the DS (Directing Staff) you get to see them all for your entertainment next Sunday @channel4 the 29th. Enjoy!”

Following the announcement, the reality star took to his Instagram Stories to answer some of his fans burning questions about the show in a quick Q&A.

One fan asked if the former nuclear engineer cried during the show after numerous stars have buckled under the pressure in the past.

Unashamed of his emotions, he told his followers: “Yes. For the first time properly in tears. Bringing up family got to me. No shame in it.”
