Millie Court and Liam Reardon are probably on cloud nine after winning Love Island on Monday night, and a body language expert says it came as no surprise as the couple “already behaved like winners.”
It came down to a decision between Liam, 22, and Millie, 24, and Chloe Burrows, 25, and Toby Aromolaran, also 22.
Before the result was announced, host Laura Whitmore sat both couples down for a chat about their time in the villa.
Body language expert Rhian Kivits was not surprised at all that Liam and Millie won, based off how they were behaving in the run up.
‘She said: “Millie and Liam already behaved like winners and their genuine connection shone through their interview.
“They sat close together, couldn’t stop looking at each other and their eye contact was focused and direct” she continued.
“Their smiles and delight were obvious for everyone to see, and they weren’t afraid to speak about the depth of their feelings and commitment.
As they waited for the results to be read out, Liam and Millie looked a lot more relaxed than Chloe and Toby, says Rhian.
“Millie and Liam looked far more self assured. Millie had a smile on her face as if she knew in her bones that she and Liam were going to win,” she explained.
The fashion buyer administrator’s confidence definitely paid off.
When the big moment came for Millie to decide whether to keep or share the prize money, Rhian says it was another clear sign of her devotion for the Welsh builder with how she reacted.
“Millie was asked to confirm whether she had been playing for love or money, she answered with absolutely no doubt that she was in the Villa for love.”
“She answered almost as if any other response would have been ridiculous for her.”
It was revealed that the lovebirds received the lion’s share of the public vote, with 42.02% compared to Chloe and Toby with 30.85%.
