Maya Jama wows fans after unveiling her lookalike mum in new snaps

Maya Jama has shown her fans that good looks run in the family after revealing some sweet snaps of her lookalike mum as she works on her latest TV project.

The BBC One presenter, 26, posted a clip of her mum Sadie, 44, who went to visit her on set in Bristol as she filmed with YouTube star Chunkz.

Taking to Instagram, Maya posted a video during a break from filming and she proudly told her followers: “Mum’s here.”

Sadie previously appeared alongside her daughter Maya in the chat show All Round To Mrs Brown’s where she shocked viewers with her ageless looks.

Maya confessed that she and her mum often get mistaken for sisters, adding: “All my boyfriends and friends that were guys fancied her.”

Mum Sadie could be seen sporting a stylish cropped white shirt with a low neck and a glam white handbag to match, topping off the look with a pair of ripped blue jeans.

Maya has opened up about her mum in the past and has spoken about how close she is to Sadie, who she grew up with in Bristol alongside her brother Omar.

Chatting to the Evening Standard, she said: “She had me at 18, so our relationship was a bit different. I rebelled less because I was quite free.

“My mum’s always been like, ‘I want you to have your experiences — just tell me. I’m not going to judge you or shout at you.'”

However, as much as Maya lover her mum, she won’t be getting an invite to her celeb parties anytime soon, as she added: “She’s banned from my parties though. She gets too drunk.”

This comes as bombshell Maya has signed an exciting deal with sports streaming platform Dazn and fight promoter Matchroom – led by boxing mogul Eddie Hearn – which means she’s set to present from the ringside at fights.

She’s soon to be very busy at events over three consecutive weekends starting from July 31, which is being held at the Matchroom HQ in Brentwood, Essex.

She said: “I’ve always loved boxing and this is a whole new adventure for me, which I can’t wait to begin.

“I’m hoping to bring a new energy, flavour and vibe to one of my favourite sports.”

Away from her successful media career, which includes hosting beauty shows like Glow Up! – she launched her skincare brand MIJ Masks in 2020.

A source told The Sun: “Maya is really into her beauty and takes good care of her skin.

“She struggled to find face masks that suited her so decided to work on her own.

“This is just the beginning, she’s got big dreams about releasing a range of products.”
