Singer Niall Horan has revealed the reason why he chose to focus his attentions on an athleisure brand after “falling in love” with the company that support mental health campaigns.
Irish heartthrob Niall joined forces with Gym+Coffee as a business partner and has also recorded a sleep narration tool in aid of World Mental Health Day.
The 28-year-old singer will use his voice to help those struggling to sleep unwind for the night with a script especially written by Phoebe Smith, an extreme sleeping outdoors adventurer.
Discussing the +Pause campaign, the One Direction star opened up saying: “With many struggling to sleep during these crazy times of the past 18 months, I was keen to get involved in Gym+Coffee’s initiative and help in any way possible.”
He added: “It’s really amazing to watch world mental health day grow and we can clearly see a path for change.
“I hope that as many people as possible got to enjoy the +Pause event and took a time out for themselves.”
It’s believed that around one in three Brits suffers from poor sleep with stress, work and computers often to blame.
Niall partnered with Gym+Coffee back in March having been a fan of the business for a period of time and had even snapped up some of their items of clothing.
Speaking about why he chose to venture into the athleisure fashion industry, he explained: “I don’t tend to invest a lot but when I do, I want to invest my time in something that I really believe in.
“The whole ethos and the foundation really of Gym+Coffee is about community, it’s about taking opportunities and believing in yourself and what you can do.”
After catapulting to fame as one-quarter of One Direction, Niall has amassed millions of followers across the globe and explained that his platform could rocket the brand.
However, the singer-songwriter revealed a secret wardrobe hack that is sure to leave many questioning their choices.
“I’ve always been a huge fan of the tracksuit bottoms, I’ve said it from the start – you can wear them anywhere,” he explained.
Niall continued: “They’re amazing for the gym but you can actually wear them in meetings and look really good, they’re halfway between sport and business and that’s what I’ve always liked about it.”
His latest deal comes just weeks after former bandmate Liam Payne teased that there could be a One Direction reunion on the cards any time now.
Speaking to The Mirror, Liam said: “I spoke to Louis about it and we were saying it has to be sooner rather than later.”
However, just several months ago Niall told Jonathan Ross that a reunion wouldn’t be on the cards unless all members would be involved.
He said: “I don’t know, no one really talks about it, I still talk to them all the time.
“There’s a couple of little babies from them lads, everyone’s having their own success on their own, I’m enjoying what I’m doing.”
The hitmaker continued: “Of course, if everyone wanted to do it, I’d be down for it, unless everyone was completely in, I wouldn’t want to do it.”
