Nikki Grahame is set to check into a specialist anorexia facility as generous fans donated money to help the Big Brother star seek help.
Earlier this month, a Go Fund Me page was set up, with Nikki’s permission, to help pay for specialist treatment as her battle with the eating disorder has taken a heartbreaking turn.
Concerned friends and family of the Big Brother star, 38, said she was in a ‘very bad way’ as she continues to battle the lifelong eating disorder.
Nikki’s loved ones explained on the Go Fund Me page that they are raising money as the last hope to pay for a costly rehabilitation centre as “all other options have been exhausted”.
Less than two weeks after the page was created, generous fans and celebrity pals of Nikki’s have managed to raise over £65,000 in a bid to get the reality TV star the help she so desperately needs.
Now, Nikki will begin receiving the care and treatment she needs from Monday.
Nikki’s friends and fundraisers told The Mirror: “On hitting the Go Fund Me target last weekend those close to her started the long, and at times difficult, though always productive process of finding Nikki the best possible facility and care she requires.
“Due to the incredible donations received we’re pleased to report that a private facility which is able to admit her has been found and her road to recovery will begin from Monday.”
“Nikki would like to thank each and every single person for their kind and generous donations.
“She has seen the wonderful messages and wishes pouring in both personally and through her Go Fund Me Page and has nothing but gratitude.”
Nikki’s celebrity pals rallied around her, with Rylan Clark-Neal, Vanessa Feltz and Michelle Visage all generously donating £500 each to the vital cause.
The star’s loved ones revealed that Nikki will speak out and share her gratitude when she’s feeling better, and when the ‘time is right’.
