Our Yorkshire Farm fans were full of praise for the Our Yorkshire Farm family as they shared their Christmas traditions with viewers.
With the kids off school due to lockdown, the family set up a Nativity play at home, with Clemmy in the role of Mary.
And as the kids unwrapped their presents, there wasn’t a piece of technology in sight, as they received various items to help on the farm – and were even pleased to find an orange in their stockings.
Later, as the family feasted on a traditional Christmas Dinner of chicken they’d hand-reared on the farm, they decided to play family games rather than retreating to the telly or picking up the iPads.
“Just watching #OurYorkshireFarm,” one impressed viewer tweeted. “WOW! Kids happy with normal everyday items at Christmas! So amazing to see. Not a phone or computer in sight!”
Another praised: “Our Yorkshire Farm is wonderful and it looks an idyllic Christmas!” while a third added: “Your Xmas looks so very special with your gorgeous family!”
Someone else said: “With no mobile phone or laptop about, it’s like going back in time.”
“It’s a really good Christmas,” one of the children said. “I’m really happy.”
Amanda said she finds her Yorkshire home “peaceful”, and added that she used to “dream” of having a rural place like her farm.
Others found themselves distracted as Clemmy decided to rename baby Jesus “Bob”.
“Mary, Joseph, Tony the pony and baby Bob!” someone tweeted, as another chimed in: “Love that Clemmy wanted to call baby Jesus Bob!”
And someone else giggled: “Love that Jesus has been renamed Bob. What stars these kids are! They enjoy doing whatever life throws at them.”
One of the highlights of the episode was seeing the girls gifted a cart for Tony to pull them around in, with Clemmy mistaking it for a “wheelchair” through her own giggles.
The girls’ older brother took them for a canter around the farm in their brand-new gift.
And Violet revealed that she’s planning to become a vet once she’s older – with a surprisingly grown-up outlook on the whole thing.
After twin calves were born successfully, Violet reflected on the reality of living with livestock.

“If you’re a vet,” the sage youngster began, “there’s gonna be death. So when you’re a vet you’ve got to be prepared for the worst, but hope for the best.”
And her mum Amanda echoed the sentiment as she reflected: “You’ve got to keep it real, as a vet. You’re going to see life and death.” But she looked thrilled that Violet could one day achieve her dreams – and she’ll definitely have plenty of hands-on experience to prepare her.
