After a complicated pregnancy, Paloma Faith has given birth to an adorable baby girl, the singer has revealed.
The new arrival is Paloma’s second child with her partner Leyman Lahcine, having welcomed another daughter with the French artist four years ago.
Alerting fans to their happy news, she wrote: “Pregnancy diary. Well, I’m not pregnant anymore!”
The 29-year-old revealed she underwent a planned C-section as part of the delivery, with the procedure leaving her in a “lot of pain” in the hours after the birth.
She said: “I had a planned c section yesterday I’m in a lot of pain and didn’t sleep last night but it’s worth it to see and meet the new little cherub I have in front of me.”

Paloma will no doubt be overjoyed with the news, having endured a significant number of complications during her pregnancy.
At one point, the singer believed she’d gone into labour a lot earlier than expected but doctors later established that her womb lining was “super-thin” – leading to false pains.
The Only Love Can Hurt Like This songstress was taking no risks when it came to the coronavirus and vowed to remain indoors until the due date.
It’s hardly surprising that the singer was erring on the side of caution after she’d endured six rounds of IVF before falling pregnant for the second time.

Throughout the nine-month period, Paloma has documented some of her hospital trips on social media.
At the time, she told fans she had been “rigged up to machines,” before adding: “Had a little trip to the MFAU this week with some cramping.”
The songwriter explained: “They ruled out preterm labour (phew) and rigged me up to the machine for a bit.

“In the scan, it shows that the womb lining is super thin around the scarring from the last birth and that means it’s pretty weak.
“Maybe the baby being so big (everyone says wow super long legs when they scan me) is putting pressure on it and making it a bit crampy.
“But what I do know is the hospitals are doing an incredible job in all this at keeping the maternity-related wards so clean and so calm given that the other day we had the highest death toll of Covid related deaths so far.”
