Piers Morgan is the 'most wound up he's been in weeks' as he discusses Meghan

Former ITV breakfast show host Piers Morgan has once again had his say on what he dubbed the “Meghan Markle debacle” in discussion with the show’s host Karl Stefanovic.

He has made several bold accusations as he gave his latest thoughts on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

In the interview released today, he also condemned “vile racists” as he discussed the royal couple as well as cancel culture.

Piers, 56, said: “We’re allowed to have strong opinions even if some people wince.”

He went on to slam racists but encouraged the country to chill out as he addressed being “cancelled.”

Piers shared: “That’s what made our countries great and I’m not giving a license to vile racists, they should absolutely be removed from the ether, but come on, everybody, take a chill pill.

The show’s host went on to question the guest, asking: “Are you going to take one?”

“I’ve actually had one recently. This is the most wound up I’ve been in weeks,” Piers laughed.

Meghan told Oprah she had experienced suicidal thoughts.

“You’re not allowed to have strong opinions about things, you’re not allowed to disbelieve a liar like Meghan Markle.

“I’m sorry to call her that but she tells lies. We’ve demonstrated and proven that,” stated the Life Stories presenter in the new interview.

Piers famously walked off the set of the ITV breakfast show after colleague, weather presenter Alex Beresford, criticised his attack against Markle made on the programme.

After the fallout on the live show, Piers announced he would be leaving GMB after it was claimed he was either told to apologise, or to leave.

He refused to do the latter so he ended up stepping down from his position as news anchor alongside Susanna Reid.

“I didn’t know this at the time but Meghan Markle had complained to my boss at ITV on the Monday night,” he also told Stefanovic.

“It was demanded I apologise for disbelieving her otherwise I would have to vacate my chair.

“I thought there was hypocrisy, I thought there were downright lies coming out in the interview.

“I saw my job to hold them to account like I would to a government minister and for doing that, within 36 hours I had to leave the job.”
