Piers Morgan’s fury at some members of the Royal Family rumbles on while his admiration for Prince Philip seems to show no bounds.
Writing for his column for the MailOnline on Sunday, Piers Morgan appeared to take more than a few digs at Meghan Markle through his 10-point guide for being like the late Prince Philip.
Setting out how the late Duke of Edinburgh had been so successful in his role, Morgan cited examples such as “park the ego,” “stay off Oprah,” and “just get on with it”.
Although there was no direct finger-pointing at Meghan or Prince Harry, many of the points raised by the ex Britain’s Got Talent judge seemed to echo previous opinions he has aired.
Prince Philip, who passed away on Friday, reportedly thought it was “madness” that Meghan and Prince Harry took part in an interview with Oprah Winfrey.
According to Piers, Prince Philip’s biographer and friend Gyles Brandreth recounted: “He said to me more than once: ‘Remember that the attention comes because of the position you are privileged to hold, not because of who you are. If you think it’s all about you, you’ll never be happy.'”
According to the article, Prince Philip was not against members of the Royal Family giving interviews per se, but the discussion should not centre on themselves.

Piers wrote in his article: “Gyles Brandreth said the Duke thought Meghan and Harry’s decision to grant their friend Ms Winfrey a lengthy prime-time US TV audience was ‘madness’ and ‘no good would come of it.'”
Also included in the 10-point guide were “avoid scandal,” “work hard,” “don’t whine,” and “stay grounded”.
Pier said: “He understood the British public would never stomach hearing the richest and most privileged people in the country complaining about how awful their lives were.
“So, when on royal duty, he kept his moaning mouth shut and his gripes to himself, as he shook hands, smiled, and small-talked with complete strangers, day after day, week after week, year after year.”
An insider with close ties to Meghan reportedly told MailOnline she had a “special bond” and “adored” the Duke of Edinburgh.
The Duchess was advised by her doctor not to travel to the UK due to her being heavily pregnant.
Reports claim she also didn’t want to be “the centre of attention” at Philip’s funeral and is focusing on supporting Harry from afar as the Duke of Sussex prepares to come face-to-face with his family for the first time since the couple’s Oprah interview.
