Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid teased viewers about his rumoured upcoming appearance on I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here on Good Morning Britain.

The 65-year-old, who is thought to be joining the star-studded line up for this year’s reality competition, shared his excitement for former contestant Nigel Havers who joined the pair on the show on Tuesday morning.

As fans prepare for another fun-filled series set in the grounds of Gwrych Castle in Wales, the hilarious hosts speculated on the rumours of their fellow presenters as the countdown to the hit ITV show continues.

But during their hilarious back and forth, Richard confirmed he had been sent a memo by producers to not confirm any rumours until after the show had made the announcements online.

As the pair reviewed Tuesday morning’s headlines, Susanna couldn’t help but poke fun at her co-host as he squirmed opposite her while she talked about all things I’m A Celeb.

She joked: “I’m looking forward to talking to Nigel Havers about his experience in the jungle just in case you might know anybody who it is speculated might be going into the I’m a Celebrity jungle.”

“Yes because Nigel could give them tips couldn’t he?” Richard quipped.

Susanna added: “I could ask Nigel, because I cannot confirm nor deny that I might be going into a Welsh castle to spend the run up to Christmas.”

The TV presenter confirmed he had been sent a memo from ITV producers not to confirm any rumours

As he giggled along to her cheeky comments, he chimed in with: “Do you know what, Susanna? Neither can I, oddly enough.”

Susanna couldn’t help but ask: “Is that because ITV have given you expressed instructions not to confirm or deny anything? Because that’s what I’ve heard they do.”

To which he explained: “Yes, that’s what they do with all of us, they send a memo to everybody, to Kevin, to Quentin,” he deflected. “You may be going into the castle.”

“What to eat grasshoppers?”, he asked, shocked at his inclusion.

To which his fellow presenter joked: “I think grasshoppers would be a delicacy frankly in the jungle. You should ask Nadine Dorris.”
