Ricky Gervais says he's only worn underpants twice in the last year in lockdown

Slobby Ricky Gervais has only bothered to put his underpants on twice in over a year.

The comic confessed the only reason he completed the “chore” of wearing his undies during lockdown was for work reasons.

Ricky, 59, who has been isolating at his home in north London with partner Jane Fallon, added he’s dreading putting pants on.

When asked by fans during an online chat if he was missing anything, Ricky replied: “Underpants.

“I think I’ve worn them twice in a year when I had to actually do something. I think for a photoshoot I popped on some pants.

“Other than that, I don’t think I’ve worn pants for a year. It’s a chore, they chafe.

“In summer, sometimes you get a little rash, innit?”

Ricky has also admitted he has got used to wearing urine-stained tracksuit bottoms at home, adding: “It doesn’t matter in sweatpants if you have a little wee, there’s a little dribble.”

The Office creator revealed he had received his coronavirus vaccine earlier this month.

He shared a photo of himself getting the jab so he could encourage his followers to do the same.

The funnyman captioned the snap: “Take that, you Covid C**t!”

And he also said he reckons he could be replaced by a robot one day.

The After Life star said: “Will there be a robot that’s bigger and taller and stronger than me?

“One that’s made of steel that can see in the dark – and is a better stand-up?

“I’ll go out, I’ll fall over and the crowd will go wild. They’ll go, ‘look at him, look at that fat bloke, he’s dying!’

“And the robot will go, ‘I can’t compete with that. I’d never thought of that!’”
