Strictly Come Dancing’s Dan Walker seemed to annoy some viewers of the BBC programme this week.
The 44-year-old TV star danced the Cha-Cha-Cha to MC Hammer’s You Can’t Touch This with his professional dance partner Nadiya Bychkova, 32.
As the routine got underway, Dan couldn’t help himself from singing along with the song that took him back to his “school disco” days.
However fans of the glitzy show were not impressed with his lip syncing, demanding for producers to “make it stop”.
One online user wrote: “I hate it when the contestants mouth the words of the songs.”
Another added: “Why does Dan Walker lip sync? Make it stop.”
While a third said: “It was so nice to see him let loose and perform! He needs to stop mouthing the words though.”
Although, others completely disagreed, adding that Dan had brought the “fun” factor.
“In my head I can always hear Len moaning about the contestants mouthing the word to the songs, but Len isn’t judging any more and I simply loved that Cha Cha,” read one tweet.
“That was so fun and you can tell he enjoyed himself even if his footwork and posture was off, team Dan,” exclaimed another.
Earlier on in the programme, hosts Tess Daly, 52 and Claudia Winkleman, 49, addressed the absences of Robert Webb and Ugo Monye who had to pull out of the competition.
Both celebrities announced during the week that they were leaving.
In a Twitter post Ugo penned: “Unfortunately I’m not going to be able to dance this weekend on the show. I have a history of back problems which has always been managed under the guidance of medical professionals.
“Unfortunately this has been causing me some unwanted problems this week!”
He added: “I have been advised by medical professionals and with huge support from Strictly to get some treatment & rest to ensure that I can get myself back to full capacity & fighting fit for next week.
“Gutted Oti & I won’t be dancing this weekend but wishing all the other contestants the best of luck & will be cheering them on from home!”
While the peep show Comedian also announced that he would be leaving the show – due to ill health.
