Strictly Come Dancing star Adam Peaty accidentally ripped out a chunk of his dance partner Katya Jones’ hair during training.
The Olympian, 26, completed his first dance on the BBC One show on Saturday, with he and Katya securing an impressive total score of 30 points from judges Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse, Craig Revel Horwood and Anton du Beke.
The duo finished in joint second place on the leaderboard and performed an intense Cha Cha to Beggin’ by Måneskin.
Posting to her Instagram stories on Thursday, an aggrieved Katya revealed that a dance move gone wrong during training for this weekend’s show had seen the gold medal winner land on the Strictly pro and pull out a lock of her hair.

In the video, Katya beckoned a sheepish Adam to the camera.
To her 185,000 plus Instagram followers, she said: “Do you want to tell them what you’ve done?”
In response, Adam said: “Yes, so there’s a very delicate part of the move – the dance, sorry.
“It’s like a press up and clap. She goes under, I do a press up over… but I said to her on Thursday, ‘tie your hair up because I’m going to land on you,’ and look.”

Katya proceeded to hold the ripped out strands of her hair up to her phone’s camera, looking far from impressed.
A defensive Adam replied: “It’s not even that much, man.
“That will grow back within a week.”
On her Instagram stories, Katya later revealed it was she who did the majority of coffee runs each morning for the dance team.

She told a fan: “I bring his pain au chocolat and mocha coffee almost every morning!”
It’s been a busy few days for Adam and Katya, who appeared on both Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two and Lorraine on Thursday.
