The One Show fans were delighted to see host Alex Jones back on presenting duty for the last programme of the year.
The 44-year-old presenter returned to the famous green sofa alongside Ronan Keating and Jermaine Jenas to host Friday’s edition of the BBC One show.
They looked back over the past 12 months and got into the festive spirit as the current series came to a close.
Fans rushed to their keyboards to share their joy at seeing Alex back on their screens.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “Great to have Alex back.”
Another added: “Alex Jones is back. Yay!”
A third person posted: “Alex Jones is back.”
Alex is currently on maternity leave after welcoming her first daughter Annie in August with husband Charlie Thomson.
The mother of three has only appeared on The One Show since taking some time off from the show to spend time with her new arrival.
Alex made a brief return to the BBC One programme in September via a video link and spoke about her newborn.
She said: “Ah, it is so nice to be back. You know what, we have been great.
“The boys are taking to little Annie brilliantly. Annie is here with mum and dad.
“I’ve literally, honestly… she has just gone back to mum. I had to feed her. She’s out there.”
There has been a major change to The One Show presenting team over the past year.
Boyzone singer Ronan and sporting star Jermaine were given permanent spots on the sofa in May.
The pair both filled in for Matt Baker after he left the show last year.
Jermaine hosts the show Monday to Wednesday and Ronan on Thursdays and Fridays.
The One Show is expected return to BBC One in January 2022
