Tipping Point beauty makes show final despite mixing up numbers and letters

Tipping Point viewers were distracted by contestant Ellie during Monday’s edition of the ITV quiz show.

Host Ben Shephard welcomed four contestants to the famous television studio as they battled it out to win the highly sought after cash prizes.

Shane, Ellie, Rob and Carol all answered a series of questions to win turns on an arcade-style machine.

Dropping tokens down a choice of four chutes, they each hoped to knock piles of the counters off a moving shelf – the more they collected, the greater the prize fund.

Ellie quickly caught the attention of viewers at home, with some rushing to their keyboards to share flirty messages for the player.

Another added: “Hello Ellie” alongside a series of heart-eyed emojis.

A third person posted: “Lovely to see Ellie on me tele.”

While a fourth social media user said: “Well hello Ellie. Wow.”

However, things didn’t go quite to plan for Birmingham beauty when she stumbled on a question in the second round.

Contestant Ellie caught the eye of viewers watching at home

Good Morning Britain presenter Ben, 46, asked: “Which two-digit country code follows 00 when making a call to Australia?”

Ellie, who admitted to mishearing the question, answered: “England”.

A shocked Ben later informed Ellie that he was looking for two numbers which he later revealed were six and one.

Fans couldn’t get over Ellie’s error and discussed her blunder on social media.
