BBC Breakfast viewers were delighted when Eurovision star Sam Ryder appeared on the red sofa as they begged it be made a permanent occurrence.
The 33-year-old was welcomed into the studio by presenters Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt to discuss his debut album which is out today.
As he was introduced, the singer radiated positivity as he exclaimed: “Hello! How’s it going? You guys okay?,” before Charlie chimed: “You’re all about positive stuff aren’t you!”

“You got to stomp around the world with big optimistic boots,” he responded.
And his positive energy didn’t go unnoticed by fans who took to social media to admit the star is exactly what they wanted to brighten up their day.
Can we have Sunshine Sam on every morning! Such a happy warm man! #BBCBreakfast,” begged one viewer.
A second user added: “Sam Ryder is such a ray of sunshine. You can’t help but warm to him. #BBCBreakfast.”
Another asked: “Can we have a Sam Ryder slot every morning? #BBCBreakfast.”
Someone else joked: “How does Sam Ryder manage to be so cheerful and upbeat all the time? If you could bottle his enthusiasm for life you’d make a FORTUNE!”
Sam’s positivity seemed to be running theme in the conversation as the 60-year-old asked: “As you ooze positivity, do you think you’re a lucky person?”
The singer admitted he doesn’t think he’s a lucky person but he tries to find “the things to be grateful for” in lesser situations.
Loving the answer, Charlie exclaimed: “I love that. I could learn a lot from that!”
Sam represented the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with the song “Space Man” and finished first in the jury vote, and second overall.
He told the presenters it had been a “bonkers year” since the competition ended and shared how grateful he was for the opportunities he’s now had.
As the interview came to a close, Naga told him: “You bring great energy!”
