BBC Breakfast viewers claimed that presenters Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt didn’t look comfortable during an interview with Billy Idol.
The duo helmed Thursday’s (October 13) instalment of the morning show and welcomed the legendary musician onto the red sofa to discuss his new tour, The Roadside Tour which is heading to the UK this week.
The 66-year-old first emerged on the punk rock scene back in the 70s as the lead singer of the band Generation X, confessing to the presenters that they never looked at their career beyond a few years.

The topic of “being scared” of the rocker came into conversation, but Charlie made a point that the star now sings lullabies to his grandchildren, posing the question whether he’s become a different person because of that.
He responded: “Well it’s lovely because you get to see the world through their eyes. They get so excited about things so you get the fresh excitement. It’s actually fantastic.”
And while Charlie and Naga are well known for their controversial interview approaches, fans picked up on the fact that the two looked “completely lost,” during this one.
One user penned: “Charlie and Naga seem completely lost when talking to Billy Idol. Its like listening to your grandparents asking what you did last night #BBCBreakfast,” as another responded: “Spot on.”
“Billy Idol on #BBCBreakfast scaring the s**t out of Naga.” added a second.
Another echoed: “Felt bad for @BillyIdol on BBC Breakfast TV this morning. Presenters seemed clueless as to who he was and ended up asking him about grandchildren.”
While a fourth wrote: “So great to see @BillyIdol on @BBCBreakfast. What a legend. Shame the questions were such a mix of ageism and banality.”
While others took to the platform to point out how well the Grammy-nominated star looked.
“Blimey Billy Idol hasn’t aged,” said one as another added: “Billy Idol doesn’t look a day older. Inspiration to us all.”
A third shared: “Billy Idol looking bloody amazing this morning.”
“How good does Billy Idol look on #BBCBreakfast look on today! still got a great energy about him,” echoed another.
While a fourth tweeted: “Just seen Billy Idol (approaching 67) on breakfast tv, looking great.”
