BBC Breakfast star Carol Kirkwood branded viewers “mean” after they made a Christmas present confession.
Charlie Stayt and Nina Warhurst sat on the red sofa on Thursday (December 29) and asked fans to get in touch about a Christmas present they had received which left them unimpressed.

As the beloved weather presenter returned to screens and gave the latest weather updates across the country, Nina decided to get Carol involved in the discussion.
She asked: “Did you get some good Christmas presents this year?,” as the 60-year-old responded: “Yes!”
Nina continued: “Have you ever had one where you thought, ‘Oh, that’s not quite hit the spot?'”
“Do you know what Nina? Even if I had, I wouldn’t admit it because somebody’s gone out and spent their hard-earned cash and thought about buying a gift,” she pointed out.
She added: “So that would just be mean.”
Nina admitted her co-star is “much nicer” than viewers because plenty have been in touch about disappointing presents they had received.
“How many people are sending you stuff?,” asked Charlie as Nina revealed: “Well, Jane’s got in touch with me on Twitter.
“Her husband was brave enough to get her a large, collapsible laundry basket which he says is, ‘The Rolls-Royce of collapsible laundry baskets.’
“No comment to Jane or her husband,” Nina joked.
The 42-year-old urged other viewers to get in touch about the topic before commenting: “If you’re not quite as generous as Carol, who will not name and shame.”
This is Nina’s second day back on air following a nasty illness she picked up over the festive period.
Giving her followers an update, she took to Twitter on Tuesday (December 27) evening and assured she was recovering.
She wrote: “Thank you for your very kind wishes. Full recovery complete and ready for BBC Breakfast tomorrow to share my full Christmas nutrition guide with Jon Kay.”
