At just eight years old Charlie Dixon found fame when he appeared on Britain’s Got Talent alongside his best friend Krista Hyatt.
While the pair won the hearts of the nation with their dance routine under the moniker of Cheeky Monkeys they didn’t manage to win the show but that hasn’t held Charlie back.
The 23-year-old has now managed to find fame and success in his own right working as a model, influencer and performer.
Charlie has travelled the world partying with many famous faces and being paid thousands of pounds to do it.
Talking to The Sun about his time on Britain’s Got Talent Charlie said: “I have such amazing memories, sometimes it’s crazy to look back at it because it’s wild. The whole country was rooting for us.
“I spent a lot of time with Simon Cowell, I love him. It is funny looking back because I remember he said he wanted to adopt me because he thought I was so cute.
“My mum and I got along with Stephen Mulhern very well and my mum cut his hair twice. It was brilliant.
“BGT just opened so many doors for me.”
After appearing on BGT Charlie and Krista travelled to New York where they starred on Maury Povich’s World’s Most Talented Kids on NBC, they subsequently appeared in Christmas flick Nativity.
Charlie said: “I developed a great relationship with Martin Freeman, Pam Ferris and Jason Watkins. We all got on so well.”
The youngster headed to boarding school at 11-years-old, funded by the money he made on BGT so he could get a great education.
He explained: “It was an investment in myself.”
While his friendship with Krista drifted to become long-distance he did admit they are still in touch and gushed: “I have got so much love for her.”
Charlie has since trained in musical theatre and become a name in his own right in influencer circles.
While living in LA for two years he formed friendships with big name stars including Paris Hilton and Adam Lambert.
He said: “When I lived in LA, I used to go clubbing with Paris Hilton and I am good friends with Adam Lambert.
“I met Owen Wilson at Burning Man, we had a really nice conversation. I felt like it was good time to come back to my roots, but I would be so open to going back there.”
Charlie now wants to become a singer and is keen for BGT judge Simon Cowell to hear him sing.
He said. “The end goal is to be in film and singing. I would love for Simon to hear my voice because that was a dance act back then and I can sing as well.
“Doing Britain’s Got Talent again is definitely an option. It would be quite cool, a real full circle.”
