Britain’s Got Talent judge David Walliams echoed the feelings of viewers as he questioned where the talent of one semi final act was.
Tuesday’s show (May 31) saw eight more acts battle it out for a place in the final and the chance to win a huge cash prize plus a spot at the Royal Variety Performance.
The acts included Voices of the Armed Forces Children Choir, daredevil escapologist Andrew Basso and nine-year old magician Ryland Petty who impressed Simon Cowell with his Harry Potter trick.
Also among them was Ranger Chris and his army of dancing dinosaurs, who put on an elaborate performance.
Amanda Holden seemed to love the act and was up on her feet dancing along, but David was far from impressed.
After the performance, David said: “I’m not quite sure what the talent is. You’ve got some friends who like dressing up as dinosaurs.”
He was met with boos from the audience and jumped out of his sheet to shout: “Boo you!”
Alesha Dixon then said: “I did buzz you in the auditions, I didn’t tonight because my daughter would tell me off.”
David pressed his buzzer to cut her off and Alesha burst into laughter.
She then added: “You do great work and I love you for that,” referring to the work Chris does in schools.
Viewers then took to social media to praise David for “speaking the truth”.
One person Tweeted: “‘I’m not sure what the talent is’ David Walliams, in the 20 odd years you’ve been about. First time I agree with you!”
Another said: “Go on David! Saying what we all at home were thinking.”
One fan commented: “Go on David speaking the truth,” while another said: “Have Simon and David changed personalities?! I thought David was meant to be the fun one.”
Impressionist Ben Nickless went through as the winner of the public vote.
Piano/rap duo Flintz & Taylor then went head to head with Amber and her Dancing Collies to battle for a place in the final.
Viewers labelled the ITV show a “fix” as Simon voted to send Flintz & Taylor through.
One fan said: “BGT fixed ….. Flintz and Taylor shouldn’t have got through IMO … Si Cowell can see £ signs in his eye.”
Another wrote: “What a fix! The dog act deserved better!”
One fan Tweeted: “You got that wrong Simon! Training one dog is tough training two is almost impossible. The dancing collies should have gone through!”
