Bobby Brown said Whitney Houston speaks to him from beyond the grave 10 years after her death.
He said the singing legend asked him to turn off daughter Bobbi’s life support machine after her drowning.
Bobby, 53, said: “Whitney came to me in dreams and said, ‘Let my baby go’. And that is what I had to do.”
Bobbi was found lifeless in the bath in 2015 – just as her mum was three years earlier at the age of 48.
But Bobbi was put in an induced coma after medics said her brain function was significantly diminished and she died six months later in a hospice aged 22.
A cocktail of booze and drugs were found in her system.
RnB icon Bobby said the mum and daughter are “looking down, watching me”.
Bobby realised his daughter would be a “vegetable” for the rest of her life after medics told him “she would not live a normal life”.
He said: “I was prepared to care for her for the rest of my life, being a vegetable.
“But my daughter would not like to live like that.
“Being her father meant everything to me. My daughter is with me every day.
“She is one of my angels”.
Bobby previously revealed that he and former wife Whitney “fought hard” but “loved even harder”.
Speaking in an emotional episode US show Red Table Talk, Bobby stressed that the volatile couple had a strong relationship despite the countless allegations of abuse.
Hosts Jada Pinkett Smith, daughter Willow Smith and Jada’s mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris sat down with Bobby in April last year to discuss his late wife.
Bobby also discussed the tragic death of his daughter Bobbi.
“You and Whitney had an abusive, volatile relationship?” enquired Jada.
To which Bobby replied: “The violence that we incurred was using [drugs], you know? That’s violence in itself.”
“In itself. Absolutely,” echoed Jada.
