Justin Long has recalled Britney Spears as being very ‘normal’ and ‘easy-going’ whilst on the set of Crossroads.
The actor played the love interest of Britney’s character Lucy in the film, which was released back in 2002.
In a new interview promoting his latest project, Justin reminisced about working together on the coming-of-age movie.

Speaking to Etonline.com, he said: “I remember her being so down-to-earth, like disarmingly down-to-earth.
“I remember, being struck by how normal and easygoing she seemed for all the hoopla surrounding her.
“And then a couple of years later seeing what the paparazzi did to her, it was really sad that we live in that kind of culture that can do that to a human being. She was so nice to everyone.”
It isn’t the first time that Justin, 44, has opened up about his experience of working with Britney, 40.
Back in 2020, the actor previously spoke about his former co-star in a touching post on Instagram.
Sharing a throwback snap of the pair, he wrote: “I remember being slightly nervous to work with Britney Spears – she was such a massive star in 2002 (as she still is).
“When she introduced herself to me in the makeup trailer, I was disarmed by how sweet and NOT famous she seemed – just a nice girl (not yet a woman) from Louisiana.”
It comes after Britney recently sparked fear amongst fans after suddenly deleting her Instagram account.
Ahead of deactivating her profile, the Baby One More Time singer shared a lengthy post about how she has been struggling with her mental health.
She wrote: “It’s crazy… social media… everybody’s life seems so perfect and when I post things I think most of the time I’ve been utterly and completely embarrassed of my past… and who can forget those documentaries.
“So yes, I do try and post me looking my best or what it may seem to be the good life… well, the truth is, my spirits are better but I will forever be traumatised by my past experience for life.”

Britney went on to admit that “there is no way to fix me” after the ups and downs of her career, which has continuously made headlines over the years.
She added: “There is no way to fix me, my emotions and my sensitivity… therapy, all of it!!! I think I will need some sort of miracle for my emotions.
“I cry myself to sleep most night… I’m insecure as hell… I don’t know how to have good posture unless I’m on camera and I need to go to a school just to be taught how to freaking walk.”
