Casualty fans baffled as man 'dressed as c**k' gives birth to egg amid format shake-up

Casualty fans were baffled during the latest episode of the medical drama as a man dressed as a cockerel “gave birth to egg”.

Fans tuning into the beloved BBC One show on Sunday night (December 4) couldn’t believe their ears when a call-out came through on a paramedic’s radio.

As the paramedics were being notified of an emergency, the call handler explained: “He’s dressed as a c**k, apparently.”

Viewers were quick to take to Twitter in hysterics with one posting the quote and a meme of somebody laughing, while someone else opted for the quote and a laughing face emoji.

A man “gave birth” to an egg when one had got stuck

Later on in the drama, the man in the fancy dress outfit explained how he had put an egg up his bum in order to impress his pals with a joke.

Someone on Twitter tweeted the young man’s quote: “Got an egg stuck up my bum,” along with a laughing GIF.

The nurse treating him was unimpressed by the antics of the young man, but still did her job to remove the egg from his rectum.

The man had to undergo medical treatment in order to get the egg removed

Confused by the pain he was feeling, the man dressed as a chicken didn’t think we would have to “pass” the egg himself.

He then began to push and strain, which led to the nurse welcoming the rather large egg back into the world.

“I hope that egg was free range,” joked one baffled fan.

Someone else penned: “He’s a real life chicken. Giving birth to a healthy little egg,” complete with a laughing face emoji.

The nurse later “delivered” the egg

While a third added: “Congratulations it’s a boy.”

This comes as Casualty gears up for a format shakeup for their special Christmas episode.

The BBC One medical drama will air an improvised Christmas episode that will be a paramedic special looking at the strain on the NHS.

Digital Spy reports that the scenes in the special Christmas episode airing this month were not scripted and expand a week-long timeline.

Casualty airs Saturday’s on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
