Cher has labelled the late Queen Elizabeth II a “cow” in a blunder that has left fans reeling.
The 76-year-old pop icon reacted to the death of Her Majesty yesterday (September 8) at the age of 96, with the palace releasing a statement confirming she passed away “peacefully” at Balmoral.
But Cher messed up, using a cow emoji in reference to the monarch.

It appears she meant to label the Queen a GOAT – meaning Greatest of All Time – but slipped up when it came to identifying the correct farm animal emoji.
The Believe songstress penned: “Am sad about the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
“I had honour of meeting her. I was in long line of [people] waiting 2 meet her, yet when she got 2 me, she asked pertinent questions, & seemed genuinely interested in talking 2 me.”
She concluded: “I’m proud she was a [cow emoji] & happy she had a great sense of humour.”
The Queen would definitely need that famous sense of humour in the face of Cher’s epic blunder, which had fans on Twitter rushing to cover her.
One sleuth penned: “I first read it as cow and thought to myself I know Cher is not calling the Queen a cow.

“So I thought about it for a second and realised it was the astrological sign Taurus. Taurus queens!”
Another baffled fan said: “Cher what is that cow emoji doing there?!”
More still confused the emoji for a bull and, baffled, asked the queen of pop what she intended by including it in her tribute.
Others chimed in to share their own grief at the passing of Britain’s longest-reigning monarch, with one writing: “It is so sad. It’s the end of an era. It’s gonna feel real weird with Charles as the King.”
Another said: “You are lucky to have met the Queen. I’m glad she had a sense of humour.”

While a third labelled the Queen a “wonderful person who will be sorely missed” while thanking Cher for her “kind words”.
Not one to stray away from social issues, Cher offered to host Ukrainian refugees earlier this year amid the Russian invasion.
The songstress said: “I would like to sponsor Ukrainian families in my home. They would be safe and cared for.
“Many people in my position need to step up to the plate. If I was alone or with my children & we were traumatised, I would hope someone like me [would] take care of us.”
