GB News fans are praising the new hosting duo with Eamonn Holmes and Isabel Webster appearing on screen to give the morning news roundup.
Eamonn Holmes, who famously hosted This Morning with his wife Ruth, has returned to Breakfast TV after it was revealed in 2020 that he would be stepping down from his regular Friday slot on the ITV show.
He continued to host the show in school holidays, but a year after the announcement of the host change-up, Eamonn announced that he would be joining GB News.
Joining his former Sky News breakfast co-star Isabel Webster from his time on Sunrise, Eamonn has returned to TV with a bang – and fans are loving seeing him back on their screen.
Taking to Twitter, fans couldn’t help but praise the popular TV presenter as he headed up the new channel.
One user wrote: “Great to see Eamonn back on breakfast TV.”
Another said: “This format with Isobel and Eamonn is rather good.”
A third wrote: “So excited to see Eamonn on this morning.”
A fourth added: “Great to see Eamonn and Isabel back together on breakfast, top team on GB News.”
Eamonn’s exit from This Morning left many fans absolutely shell-shocked as he left his slot with his wife Ruth Langsford.
At the time, a source told The Mirror: “Eamonn’s move to GB News marks the end of an era. He’ll be missed by many ITV viewers but, the truth is, this job offer probably came at just the right moment for both him and ITV. All good things come to an end.”
Eamonn hadn’t been a regular feature on TV for many years, with just the Friday slot on This Morning becoming fans’ go-to for his hosting abilities.
He previously worked on Sunrise, where he famously worked with Isabel, and now the hosting team are back together to give viewers an extra look into the news and getting involved with the public.
The pair have been friends for many years, with Isabel previously revealing to Daily Mail that Eamonn was at her wedding in 2014.
With a long friendship behind them it’s likely their chemistry will shine through – and fans have been loving them as a duo already.
GB News Breakfast with Eamonn and Isabel continues weekdays from 6am.
