Honey Mitchell left EastEnders viewers stunned after she verbally ripped into Phil during the latest episode of the popular BBC soap.
The happy-go-lucky character showcased a rather different side when she told Billy’s cousin Phil to make sure the market trader doesn’t go down for the murder of Samantha Keeble’s father – something he clearly didn’t do.
As Honey laid into the mechanic, fans were taken aback by her approach but applauded her for doing so.
Taking to Twitter, shocked viewers aired their thoughts.
One person wrote: “Wow, they finally gave Honey a scene to get her teeth into! An underused character who too often gets the slightly dim comedy line treatment. The actress is clearly capable of more. More please!”

Although he will soon be marrying Kat Slater, Phil is under immense pressure for other reasons.

DCI Keeble is seeking revenge for her father’s murder in the late 70s and knows a Mitchell was involved in the crime.
Despite protesting his innocence, Keeble has been on Phil’s back as she longs for justice for the murder Phil’s father Eric committed years prior.
Due to the fact that Phil is desperate to turn over a new leaf, he wants to avoid jail at all costs and decides to hand Billy’s name over to the police to be arrested for the murder of Keeble’s father.
With the rest of the Square now fully aware of Billy’s unexpected arrest, Honey wants to ensure that Billy doesn’t go down for it.

But although Honey gave a passionate plea to Phil for Billy which later lead her to plant a passionate smooch on Billy’s lips, some viewers have wondered why producers have put the broken couple back together once again.
Heading straight to Twitter, one person wrote: “Telling you now that honey is gonna regret getting back with billy she basically just said she doesn’t love him but she kissed him? So they are gonna be together but with honey secretly having doubts/regret but staying with him that’s my theory.”
Meanwhile another shared: “Why are they reuniting Billy and honey? Like no one cares lmao.”
