Emmerdale star Danny Miller opened up about his awkward moment with Liz Estensen after he reunited with her on the ITV set for the first time since he left the show.
As the 50th anniversary episode fast approaches, fans of the long-standing soap can’t wait to see the return of some of their favourite characters over the years.
Last month, telly bosses announced that Aaron Dingle, Diane Sugden and Tracy Metcalfe will all return to the show for a huge storyline ahead.

In the past 12 months, Aaron star Danny has left the long-standing show, won I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! and helped his wife Steph Jones to raise their newborn son Albert.

After he was crowned the winner of the ITV reality show, the actor was flooded with congratulatory messages from a list of famous friends, family members and adoring fans online.
But one message he shouldn’t have missed was from the queen of the Dales herself Liz after she called the actor out for ignoring her congratulatory message more than seven months later.
In an exclusive interview with Daily Star and other publications, Danny was asked if he had managed to catch up with any of the other stars who are returning to the soap for the anniversary stint.

It was at this point the dad-of-one confessed the awkward catch up he had with the Diane Sugden star ahead of their scenes together for the dramatic anniversary.
He explained: “I was with Liz yesterday and we were having a chat in the green room and it was really nice to see her, I always got on with Liz really well.
“She text me after I’m A Celebrity congratulating me but I hadn’t seen the message because I didn’t have my phone until the end of December.
“So I missed the message and she asked me, ‘Did you get the message?’ Then I looked through my messages and it was unread and it was quite far down because it was back in December.”

Luckily Liz was in a forgiving mood as she chuckled off the unconscious mishap before they started filming their scenes together.
The actor profusely apologised for the missed message, saying: “I said, ‘Sorry, I’m so sorry I didn’t reply to it’ but she called me out on it and we had a bit of a laugh.
“So, it was nice, really nice to see her and I love her to bits.”
