Good Morning Britain's Susanna Reid left red-faced as phone plays video while live on air

Good Morning Britain’s Susanna Reid was left completely red-faced on Wednesday morning (October 19) when her phone appeared to go off while she was live on air.

Speaking about the cost of living crisis and inflation alongside co-host Richard Madeley, Susanna was taken aback when she was interrupted by her phone seemingly playing a video.

Looking a tad startled, she was ever the professional when she turned it off and hid it under the desk.

Returning from an ad break, Susanna welcomed viewers back before suffering the awkward phone blunder.

Speaking to the camera, the video was rather loud and muffled her voice as she rushed to switch it off.

Her co-host Richard made a joke about her “getting it on the phone”, before Susanna turned to the side.

Appearing to switch it off or turn it down, she quickly said “Sorry! I’ll just turn that off!” while looking red-faced an awkward.

It didn’t go unnoticed by fans either as they quickly picked up their own phones to tweet about Susanna’s blunder.

“Susanna was clearly watching BBC or sky news on her phone. #gmb,” penned one viewer.

This came as her co-host Richard slammed Meghan Markle after her latest episode of her Archetypes podcast came out.

Speaking about The Duchess Of Sussex’s new episode of her Archetypes podcast, the controversial anchor slammed the star for “moaning” about her job on Deal Or No Deal in the US.

“Is there anything Meghan Markle won’t moan about?” he asked when the programme started.

“She’s moaning about the show that made her – Deal or No Deal, the classic American show,” he went on.

Richard continued: “She’s saying that the show, which she did in 2006, made her look like a bimbo and objectified her.

“And her co-bimbo who worked on the show – not! She has come out and said, ‘Excuse me, I wasn’t treated like a bimbo and neither were you actually, we weren’t objectified’.

“‘We were picked to do the job that we did on the show because of our intellect and because of our personality and because we can actually be able to relate to the contestants. Alright, we had to look good, but…'”

His furious rant came after Meghan spoke about the term “bimbo” and quitting her Deal Or No Deal job in her latest podcast instalment.
