Hollyoaks child stars now – Hollywood sex scenes, horror stroke and body transformation

Since Channel 4’s hit soap Hollyoaks launched on our screens way back in 1995, there have been truck loads of scandalous drama from the residents of the small town.

While the adults of the show got up to no good, the same could be said for the seemingly innocent kids of Hollyoaks, who caused as much havoc as their parents did.

With some of our well-loved child actors from the soap all grown up, you have to wonder what they’re up to and whether they went on to do more acting or if Hollyoaks was their last hurrah.

At just 15 years old, Emma took on the role as Hannah in Hollyoaks, daughter of Suzanne and Neville Ashworth. Starring in the show from 2005 to 2010, Emma grew up with Hannah, who’s family life was filled with non-stop drama.

Her mother had fallen pregnant with her husband’s child and her brother and got the hots for his twin sister all while Hannah was struggling with bulimia.

Things weren’t as tough for Emma outside of her role on Hollyoaks. She received heaps of praise for her eating disorder storyline and was nominated for a British Soap Award for Best Actress in 2008.

Since Hollyoaks, she went on to star in BBC One’s Prisoner’s Wives, Sky One’s show Bullet Proof before heading Stateside to star in the American fantasy-drama, Once Upon a Time in Wonderland.

In her role in US film The Protector, Emma stripped off for racy scenes while playing heiress Camille Logan, whose life is put in danger thanks to one of her father.

She falls for her bodyguard and the pair soon become overcome with passion in the woods, leading to plenty of steamy scenes.

The Hollyoaks heartthrob of the early 2000s, Justin Burton, played by Chris Fountain, wowed viewers with his bad boy charm and handsome looks.

As rebellious as he was, justin was involved in some hectic plots, including getting his teacher pregnant and pushing his sister out of a window.

After Hollyoaks, things were looking up for Chris who went on to play Tommy Duckworth in Coronation Street, skate his heart out and come second in Dancing on Ice and star in a few episodes of Casualty.

However, after a foul-mouthed video of him in a Halloween mask with a baseball cap and hoodie emerged in 2013 where he rapped about rape, drugs and violence as hip hop character ‘The Phantom’, Chris was sacked from the ITV soap.

Chris also revealed he suffered a horrifying stroke, which affected his speech and left him “sounding like a toddler”.

He said on This Morning: “I found out that I have a hole in my heart. Apparently this is quite common but a blood clot got through the hole and moved to the left hand-side of my brain.

“As traumatic as it has been it could have been a lot worse. I could have lost the use of my arm or my face could have dropped.”

You may remember Nathalie more recently from her iconic role as Missandei in the renowned Sky Atlantic series Game of Thrones, but little did you know, Nathalie started out from humble beginnings.

Acting as Sasha Valentine in Hollyoaks, Nathalie portrayed the troubled teen and all of her messy storylines, including her stint as a sex worker and her heroin addiction.

When Nathalie left the soap in 2010 for Game of Thrones which kicked off three years later, she adored her role but after her character was killed off in the eighth season, she discussed the matter of race in the show with Vanity Fair.

“I am the only woman of color in this show that has been on there regularly for many seasons, and Jacob [Anderson, who plays Unsullied commander Grey Worm] and I are fully engaged in that conversation constantly and throughout our whole time together” she explained.

Ellis Hollins – Tom Cunningham

Despite starting at a young age, Ellis was thrown into a series of dramatic storylines for Tom, including the death of both of his parents and his brother, Max.

Ellis is 20 now and has been hitting the gym

He went on to get this on-screen girlfriend, Peri Lomax pregnant while also involved in court proceedings for attacking an intruder, who was revealed to be Esther Bloom.

Ellis, who is now 20, is practically unrecognisable, having grown up in the soap, and still plays Tom.

He recently showed off an impressive boy transformation after hitting the gym, leaving fans gobsmacked.
