Eric Foster is caught out in Hollyoaks tonight (August 15, 2022).
Tony Foster walks in on Eric talking to an online community about Cindy Cunningham – but why?
While all is still yet to be revealed about his infatuation with Cindy, there definitely seems to be more than meets the eye to the Hollyoaks newcomer, with the soap tackling a misogyny storyline involving his character in upcoming weeks.

Angus Castle-Doughty joined Hollyoaks earlier this year as Eric – but did you know that away from the soap, he also has celebrity links to some huge Hollywood stars too?
Last year, Angus starred as Mikhael in the hit Netflix series Shadow and Bone – which centered around a mapmaker called Alina Starkov who unleashes a power that could change the fate of the world.
He appeared in the series for three episodes – which also saw him star opposite a number of huge Hollywood names including Disney Prince Caspian actor Ben Barnes.
Ben, who is famous for his role in the Narnia films, also played General Aliksander Kirigan in the series – which has been renewed for a second season on streaming service Netflix.
That’s not all, as Shadow and Bone also featured My Family’s Zoe Wanamaker, The Muskateer’s Howard Charles and Luke Pasqualino (who also starred in My Girl with Michelle Keegan), as well as Daisy Head – the daughter of Buffy The Vampire Slayer legend Anthony Head.
It is no surprise, then, that after taking up a role in Shadow And Bone, Angus went onto appear in the critically acclaimed Sandman series, which has also just landed on Netflix.
Based on the hit Neil Gaiman graphic novels, Dream (the personification of dreams) sets about a quest to reclaim his stolen items after 100 years of imprisonment.
Angus played Devin in episode seven, The Doll’s House, and again like his previous work, the series starred a number of huge icons of stage and screen.
These include The Boat That Rocked’s Tom Sturridge, along with Gone Girl star Boyd Holbrook and EastEnders icon Nina Wadia.
Along with starring roles in Agatha Raisin and Showtrial, it certainly seems that Angus could be another Hollyoaks star to branch out into Hollywood in the future.
However until then, there’s still more in store for Eric in the village, with the soap tackling a misogyny storyline involving his character in upcoming weeks.
Speaking about the story, Angus told Daily Star: “I’ve said this throughout the process, but I think this is one of the most important and under explored topics in any media, let alone on such a brilliant show as Hollyoaks.
“I’m enormously proud that we are telling this story and that I have a small part to play in it.”
Hollyoaks airs weekdays on Channel 4 at 6.30pm followed by first-look episodes on E4 at 7pm
