Jeremy Kyle Show icon Big Steve now – new ITV job, touching tribute and reunions

The Jeremy Kyle Show has seen a resurgence of comments condemning the show after a new tell-all documentary aired.

The problem-solving chat show was once a staple of the ITV daytime schedule, racking up an impressive 17 series which ran between 2005 and 2019.

The format saw Jeremy grilling guests as they attempted to work through family and relationship problems, with him attempting to resolve their conflict.

However, things turned sour for the production after the tragic death of guest Steve Dymond leading to it being axed.

While Jeremy, 56, has now moved on to a radio presenting slot at talkRadio, there is one other familiar face from the show fans are eager to hear updates on.

Security guard ‘Big Steve’ became a staple of the show over the years, regularly stepping in when things became heated between guests.

When the show was removed from schedules Steve, 50, spoke up via his social media to share his sadness on the circumstances surrounding the situation.

Taking to Instagram he wrote: “We at @thejeremykyleshow are deeply saddened to hear the news of one of our guests passing away.

“Our show has always been about trying to help ordinary people with problems to help their quality of life improve drastically, every day I turned up to work happy knowing somebody’s life would change for the better with the help of all the staff and crew at @thejeremykyleshow.”

He then offered to help anyone who needed to talk about their problems as he continued: “My thoughts and condolences go out to everybody affected by the news today.

“My Direct Messages are open for the next few days for anybody who needs to talk about any problems they may have, use #StevesDMs to spread the word on various social media platforms so anybody who needs help knows I’m here.

“Rest in Peace – Big Steve.”

Burly bodyguard Steve has maintained his silence on social media since the end of The Jeremy Kyle Show, quitting posting after announcing his departure to fans.

He said: “I don’t know what I will be posting/doing in the near future but will keep you all updated – Big Steve Out.”

Steve appears to have remained good friends with show psychologist Graham Stanier.

The expert regularly posts to his own Instagram and often shares photos alongside Steve and Jeremy.

Both Graham and Steve were in attendance at Jeremy’s wedding to Vicky Burton last year and appear to regularly meet up socially.

Graham even posted a touching tribute to Steve as he turned 50 last year helping him celebrate his birthday.

He wrote: “Happy 50th birthday to his beautiful human being. The celebration is postponed but it will happen.”

Steve has remained working in a security role in the TV business, finding himself a new gig with rival ITV show Judge Rinder.

He was photographed alongside Robert Rinder outside ITV studios in Manchester last year.
