Lorraine Kelly paid a touching tribute to ITV guest Sally Nyland on Wednesday’s (21 September) episode.
Sally sadly passed away from breast cancer on Tuesday at the age of 46.
She appeared on the show 3 years ago and took part in the show’s ‘Change and Check’ campaign for breast cancer.

After an advert break, Lorraine said: “Welcome back. Now, we’ve got some sad news this morning.
“That’s viewer Sally Nyland” as a clip of Sally appeared on the screen.
“Sally died yesterday of advanced great cancer, she was 46.
“Sally was, I’m sure you’ll remember, the first person to contact us when we started our ‘Change and Check’ breast cancer campaign.
“She was on the show back in 2019 and she was passionate about everyone knowing the symptoms.
“She thanked the campaign for giving her more time with the people she loved.”
Lorraine added: “We’re sending all our love to her husband Steve and her sons James and Joseph.
“Very sad news,” Lorraine went on before encouraging viewers to follow in Sally’s footsteps.
“And don’t forget you can download our ‘Change and Check’ leaflet from the website, and you’ll also find Dr Hilary’s self-check guide there too.”
Sally has appeared on the show a few times.
One of the most memorable was when she was delighted after being given a makeover by Lorraine’s resident stylist Mark Heyes.
He gave her a stunning makeover in time to renew her vows the next day.
Sally told Lorraine: “Without [the Change and Check campaign], I really wouldn’t be standing here today and there really wouldn’t be a tomorrow for me to be renewing my wedding vows.”
To get her ready for the big day, Lorraine’s resident stylist Mark Heyes gave her a stunning transformation, including a new dress from Simply Be, jewellery from Zara, and New Look shoes and finished off a Primark clutch.
Lorraine has been no stranger to supporting illnesses that could go unnoticed.
She was a huge supporter of the late Dame Deborah James’ campaign “check your poo.”
After Deborah tragically passed away her Bowel babe fund reached over 7 million pounds.
Last year Lorraine, along with Coronation Street actor Sally Dynevor and Change and Check campaigners climb ‘the world’s biggest boob’ in aid of the programmes push to fight breast cancer.
