Love Island hunk Davide Sanclimenti has a way to tell his pal he misses them – and it’s all about an Italian dish.
Davide has been on the show since the series kicked off as he joined as the very first bombshell of the series, and aside from coupling up with Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, he’s built close friendships.

One particularly close friendship was between him and love rival Jay Younger, with Davide left devastated when Jay was booted out of the villa.
However, it seems before the lads were separated they made a decision to create a secret code so Jay knows when Davide is missing him.

Taking to Twitter Jay wrote: “No one knows this, but I told Davide to cook carbonara for everyone if he was missing me as a secret message to the outside world.”
Fans were quick to share their joy over the sweet note with one person writing: “Best bromance ever, can’t wait to see you guys reunite.”
Another said: “That’s actually a smart idea Jay.”
A third wrote: “That’s so cute but what if they don’t air it?”, which is a likely scenario, as the islanders are rarely seen eating food.
Islanders are also allowed no contact with the outside world, so it’s likely that if bosses know that Davide will make carbonara for Jay, it won’t be aired.
However, Davide will know that he’s cooking for his pal, and he can hear the sweet message when they reunite on the outside.
The special dish isn’t the only secret code in the villa, with the girls kicking off the series with their beauty salon innuendos.
Every year the islanders come up with their secret codes so they can do bits without specifically saying what they’ve been up to – and this year they’ve gone with the salon.
Last year the islanders told their pals about their sexual experiences by describing them as NVQs, going up every level like the bases until they got to “graduation” with their partners.
Chloe Burrows recently opened up on the decision to use codes as she said the show “isn’t PornHub”, adding that she doesn’t think ITV wants to promote it, but said the codes is a “nice way of doing it”.
