Love Island star Gemma Owen has been branded an “ice queen” as her partner Luca Bish gushed over her on Thursday’s episode.
The duo took a major step in their relationship on the show during Thursday night’s edition, saying they loved each other for the first time.

It was the fishmonger who said it first, explaining after an emotional recoupling that he was sick of saying ‘Elephant Juice’ instead of the words themselves.
He needn’t have worried though, as the dressage rider and daughter of famous England footballer Michael Owen responded in the same way – albeit after a pause.
And it was this pause which has led her to be branded an “ice queen” on the official Love Island podcast.
Hosts Kem Cetinay and Yazmin Evans were joined by KISS DJ and Love Island superfan Tinea Taylor, with the trio agreeing that things could’ve gone a lot worse for Luca.
Tinea argued that he was a bit “suffocating” during his recoupling, but Yazmin noted: “”He’s honest. He’s not too like proud to `be open about his feelings. He’s not trying to be macho, he’s open. Gemma, however..”
Tinea added on: “She’s ice queen. I thought initially that she didn’t like him in that way but she’s playing it cool.”
Kem chimed in with: “There was a moment where Luca said I love you, and the pause was really long, I was so praying she was gonna say it back.”
But this led Tinea to ask an interesting question when she responded: “”She had to. I don’t think he’s in love with her, I think he’s besotted with her, but I’m not sure it’s love.”.
Later in the show, we got an explanation from relationships expert Annabelle Knight, who picked up on the vibes, saying: “”I feel like Luca is between lust and love, something called limerence.
“It’s where you have those lusty sexual desires, but they taper off a bit and the emotional side creeps up and it’s at the crossroads.
“He’s starting to feel this, and it does give way to love. I believe she is in to him too, which I didn’t think for quite a while.”
