“You weren’t born to be a Queen, yet you were a born Queen!!
“Dedicating your life & love to us. It feels like we’ve all lost our grandmother.”
She went on to say how her death feels like a “terrible loss for feminism”, adding: “You showed us, girls, we can do it all and boss it. It feels like a terrible loss for feminism. You were the ultimate female leader.”
Concluding her tribute, Amy said: “Thank you for everything, Ma’am. Sleep well in the arms of your love Philip. You’ve more than earned the rest!”
Elsewhere the sports presenter said that the country and the world of horse racing “will never never be same”.
Amy has a special link to the Queen with the pair both enjoying horseracing.
She has an esteemed CV and has been a #Raceday presenter for Racing TV.
On her Racing TV profile, Amy said that she loves the annual Cheltenham Festival, saying that “it’s like Christmas for a racing fan.”
Racing was known as Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s primary interest and hobby, with the Monarch annually attending the Derby at Epsom, as well as Royal Ascot – and owning several horses that she loved dearly.
The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) released a statement in light of the late Monarch’s death, with them writing: “Her Majesty has been one of the greatest and most influential supporters in the history of horseracing.
“Her passion for racing and the racehorse shone brightly throughout her life, not only through her close involvement in breeding and racing horses, but in her roles as a patron of The Jockey Club and Thoroughbred Breeders Association, and as the figurehead of Royal Ascot.”
Queen Elizabeth II’s death came after the palace revealed that the 96-year-old Monarch was under “medical supervision”.
Hours later at 6:30pm, the news broke that Her Majesty has died “peacefully” at her home in Balmoral, Scotland.
