Margot Robbie's Neighbours return confirmed for 'fulfilling' star-studded finale

Hollywood star Margot Robbie is the latest celebrity to be confirmed for the line-up of the epic Neighbour finale.

The Wolf Of Wall Street actress, 32, will return to the Australian soap making a grand return after 11 long years.

In 2008, Margot found fame on Ramsay Street, playing the role of Donna Freedman for three years before setting her sights on a career on the big screen.

Since finding her acting feet on the iconic Australian programme – which has nearly aired 9000 episodes over 37 spanning years – Margot went on to have many great successes.

The critically acclaimed star landed lead roles in Once Upon A Time In… Hollywood, Peter Rabbit, Dreamland and gained an Oscar nomination for her part as figure skater Tonya Harding in I Tonya.

She also famously starred alongside actor Leonardo DiCaprio in sizzling Blockbuster Box Office smash hit film Wolf Of Wall Street as the mistress and later wife of American entrepreneur Jordon Belfort.

Margot joins a whole host of celebrities who have now been confirmed for the “fulfilling” ending of Neighbours.

Australian bombshell’s Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan, will both be reprising their former loved characters of sweethearts Charlene Mitchell and Scott Robinson.

The last hurrah will also include actors such as Guy Pearce, Daniel MacPherson, Natalie Bassingthwaite, Jesse Spencer and Delta Goodrem.

Fans are already speculating if further A-listers such as Russell Crowe, Liam Hemsworth or Natalie Imbruglia will also feature in the line-up, given Margot will now be in attendance.

The show which first aired in Australia in 1985 and launched one year later on the BBC will be drawing it’s final curtain with a double episode on Channel 5 at 21:00 BST, on 29 July.

Executive producer Jason Herbison lifted the lid previously about the programme’s last ever episode, telling the BBC he was sure it would be “fulfilling” and “joyous” for viewers tuning in across the globe.

He explained: “I was really keen to have an ending that would be fulfilling, joyous and would be very Neighbours – it would feel satisfying in terms of where the characters and the storylines are.”

Channel 5 previously stated that they had known about plans to scrap the show which pulls in more than a million viewers each day and were sure the decision would prove to be disappointing for many.
