Boy George has claimed that Matt Hancock “snarled” at him for making a joke about former Conservative Prime minister Margaret Thatcher.
The musician and former Health Secretary appeared on the latest series of beloved ITV reality programme I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! alongside stars including Coronation Street’s Sue Cleaver, DJ Chris Moyles and sportsperson Mike Tindall.
However, Boy George has since revealed to The Sun that Matt “snarled” at him when he joked about what Matt’s specialist subject on BBC show Mastermind would be.

He said: “There was another time when he had a sense of humour failure too, I had asked him what his specialist subject would be on Mastermind.
“He paused, and I said: ‘Margaret Thatcher’s handbags?’
“He really snarled at me and I thought: ‘Oh he’s got no sense of humour’. But he was self-deprecating at times.”
The musician also revealed that he was left in stitches after Matt “begged him not to revolt” when the camp lost out on chocolate during Kev’s Deals on Wheels.
“It was hilarious,” said Boy George.
“We had lost out on a bit of chocolate, and I was really hungry, so I said: ‘Let’s have a mutiny, let’s all take our mics off and say: ‘Give us the chocolate or the show’s over.”
The Karma Chameleon singer then claimed that Matt “begged” them not revolt for fear that the celebrities would be “fired” from I’m a Celeb, after supposedly seeing a similar situation on Channel 4 series Coach Trip.
“I was like: “Matt, this is not Coach Trip, do you know how much it costs to make this show?!” said Boy George.
“They can’t fire us all . . . the coward.”
Boy George became the fourth contestant to be eliminated from I’m a Celeb, with Matt Hancock making it to third place in the series overall.
However, Matt and Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner later lost out on the title to Lioness Jill Scott, who was crowned Queen of the Jungle.
