Peter Andre was over the moon after reuniting with his parents for the first time in two years.
The Mysterious Girl singer, 49, expressed his excitement on Instagram as he posted a selfie with his beloved mum Thea during a visit to Australia.
Peter also took to his Instagram stories to share a heartwarming picture of his dad Savvas, with the words: “My Father… my absolute hero,” and: “Will cherish these moments forever,” added to the photo.
In the adorable snap with his sick mum, Peter can be seen overwhelmed with emotion as he plants a kiss on her cheek.
Peter wrote alongside the snap: “These last few days with my mum have been the greatest days in many many years. I can’t begin to express how I feel to be with her. I’m happy now.”
Their reunion comes just days after he shared that her health is “deteriorating”.
In another heartwarming post to his 1.8million followers, Peter posted a snap of his mum kissing her grandson, Junior Andre – Peter’s eldest child – on the cheek.
He captioned the snap: “Yiayia and J,” followed by the Australian and Cypriot flag and hashtags for the words “reunited” and “family”.
Peter’s son Junior commented: “Love my yiayia,” followed by a love heart emoji.
Many of Peter’s many adoring fans commented on the post as they shared their happiness and joy for the singer.
One fan commented: “So pleased you have finally got to Australia.”
Another penned: “Peter so glad you got to see her, been a long time coming xx.”
“So happy for you and your family,” commented another.
A fourth wrote: “Your mum and dad are the cutest, sending you love.”
Peter recently shared his concerns about his beloved mum as she gets older and revealed that her health is getting worse.
Writing in his weekly New magazine column, the singer explained: “I feel great about being a year away from 50. I dreaded turning 40, but actually my forties have been really amazing, I feel relaxed, and in a very happy place career-wise and personally.
“The only thing that worries me about turning another year older is that my parents are getting older and my mum’s health is really declining, which makes me sad.
“But everything else is going well and I feel great.”
Peter, who was born in London and grew up in Australia, has been dreaming of a family reunion ever since the pandemic struck in March 2020.
