Piers Morgan has been a judge on Britain’s Got Talent and famously squabbled with co-hosts on Good Morning Britain, but it was his most recent spat that taken his fancy more than any other slot.
The talkTV presenter hosts a nightly primetime programme called Piers Morgan Uncensored and Wednesday’s edition saw him anchor a 2 hour special edition of the show.
As part of the special coverage of the political crisis involving soon to be ex-Prime Minister Boris Johnson, James Duddridge appeared on the fledgling network, however tit’s fair to say the he media round didn’t go quite to plan.

At the beginning of the interview, the MP for Rochford and Southend East declared that he would not share the screen with Piers, and would instead only take questions from the channel’s Political Editor Kate McCann – otherwise he would be divorced from his partner.
He proudly declared: “I’m happy to answer questions from you, but my wife would divorce me if I took questions from Piers Morgan. I refuse to go on with him, because it’s terrible.”
However, Piers couldn’t help but jibe at the Parliamentary Private Secretary as he whispered to the correspondent to ask another question on whether he’s “Britain’s Comical Ali”, a reference to Mohammed Saeed al-Sahhaf in Iraq.
The former Iraqi politician became famous because of the animated manner of his colourful TV press conferences.
However the MP was not having any of it as he exclaimed: “The only person that’s comical here is him, he should get back to Love Island and get out of my ear set.”
Looking away from the camera, Duddridge continued to slam the host: “I love Kate, I will answer to Kate but I will not answer to you, I think it’s very very bad TV”.
The interview was brought to its own amusing end when the MP pulled out his own earpiece, much to the bewilderment of Kate McCann who was reporting outside parliament.
The commentator was then left to dismount the guest’s microphone on camera, much to Piers’ visible amusement.
However the former CNN host took this all in his stride, later sharing multiple posts on Twitter to celebrate the interview’s success.
Piers wrote on the micro-blogging website that the interview was his “favourite TV encounter ever”, later adding: “Wednesday’s edition of Piers Morgan uncensored was a ‘very entertaining night’.”
And clearly the 57 year-old Broadcaster is still tickled by the MP’s stark reaction.
On Twitter alone the video has – of time of writing – received over 206,000 views and Piers revealed he is still entertained by the speech, writing: “Still chuckling…” alongside a laughing face with tears of joy emoji.
