Rising star Lina Maxine has revealed her “brotherly” bond with pop-punk sensation Yungblud when they performed together at the Royal Albert Hall earlier this year.
The up-and-coming artist shared her love for the Northern musician – who’s real name is Dominic Harrison – after they bumped into each other at the charity event back in February.
After they took to the stage to perform some of their biggest hits in order to raise much-needed funds for the Teenage Cancer Foundation, the 24-year-old struck up a conversation with the alternative-rock star backstage.
Now, more than three months later, the fiery redhead has confessed it “would be a dream” to collaborate with him again on some new music in the future.
Following the launch of her debut EP Mind Games, the singer – who recently completed her Masters degree in neurobiology at Oxford University – caught up with Daily Star in an exclusive interview as she fondly recalled the mind-blowing experience.
She recalled: “I’ve recently met Yungblud at the Royal Albert Hall events for the Teenage Cancer Foundation, and I was incredibly honoured.
“I think he has such a wonderful, friendly charisma that just lures you in while also staying incredibly professional.
“And he’s surrounded by an incredibly organised and high functioning management team who I also met and have made such a long-lasting impression on this new age of music business.”
She went on to gush over the singer songwriter as she confessed the pair share a striking resemblance on stage.
Lina went on: “He’s able to relate to his fans so easily because he is beautiful and he has gone through thinks that really do help people heel and express themselves and feel original.
“And white also being able to market and succeed in putting the music out there and bringing in more people into his community.
“I mean I was fully mesmerised and also both of us had the red hair so we did look a bit brotherly. It was very nice I really enjoyed it.”
And it appears as though their could be a collaboration between the pair on the horizon, after the American native admitted: “You never know. I mean that would be a dream.”
When asked what she would like her loyal legion of fans to take away from new EP, she explained how she wanted her listeners to feel empowered whilst also feeling vulnerable.
She continued: “What I want the listeners to relate to is kind of seeing vulnerability through this dark alt-rock bossy chick but still see that I’m a human being and I’m over here just being a little bit honest with everybody arguably for the first time in my life through this music.
“And hopefully that shines and people can relate to it and people can be inspired to be vulnerable at time as well while also being a boss ass b***h.”
Lina’s debut EP Mind Games is now available to purchase on Apple Music now.
