Sharon Osbourne has revealed that her husband Ozzy is set to undergo a huge operation that could determine the rest of his life.
The rock’n’roll legend will be having a major operation in Los Angeles with his wife and manager Sharon having to jet back to America to be there with him.
Ozzy, who has Parkinson’s disease, contracted coronavirus last month and continues to battle other medical problems.
In 2003, The Black Sabbath star had a serious quad bike accident which left him with a broken neck vertebra and several fractured ribs.
He aggravated these injuries in 2019 after having a fall at his Los Angeles home which dislodged the metal rods in Ozzy’s spine.
Sharon shared some news on Ozzy’s upcoming operation as she spoke to guest Vanessa Feltz on her panel show The Talk on Friday.
She explained: “He has a very major operation on Monday and I have to be there. It’s really going to determine the rest of his life.”
Although after the surgery Sharon revealed that the family have plenty of exciting things to look forward to.
On July 1 the couple will be celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary and their son Jack’s baby daughter is due in about three weeks with his fiancé Aree Gearheart.
Her rockstar husband was last seen visiting Andrew Watt’s music studio at the end of May using a walking stick.
Despite struggling to walk properly, the 73-year-old is still determined to get back on stage and continue to make music.
His last song, which was a collaboration with Sir Elton John, was released at the start of 2020 with his last solo single hitting the music scene in 2019.
Ozzy and Sharon plan to relocate back to England with Ozzy planning to build a studio in their new country mansion.
He’s also applied for a rehabilitation wing to be added to the home as he currently undergoes physical therapy for issues with his neck.
Speaking to Classic Rock magazine, he confessed: “At f***ing 73 I’ve done pretty well. I don’t plan on going anywhere, but my time’s going to come.”
The Talk airs on TalkTV weeknights at 9pm
