The Chase host Bradley Walsh is well known for suffering epic laughing fits during his hit ITV quiz show, but this week he couldn’t stop himself from giggling.
In fact, he was laughing so much that he couldn’t read his questions, and eventually had to stop the show completely whilst trying to compose himself on camera.
The ITV star was trying to present the latest edition of his ITV show on Monday (March 7), which saw Emma, Lizz, Brian and John take on Shaun The Dark Destroyer Wallace in the studio.
However, it all went wrong immediately when player Emma struggled on her very first question, which came at the start of her cash-builder round.
Emma was asked the question: “What animal is the University of Florida mascot Alberta Gator?”
Looking baffled, she answered “crocodile”, but the correct answer was “Alligator” – made rather obvious in the question which referenced a “gator”.
Bradley started giggling at her blunder, and he struggled to read out the next batch of questions in the round.
At the end of her cash-builder, Emma managed to bank £5k, but Bradley couldn’t contain his laughter any longer.
Struggling to speak as he stroked his face nervously, Bradley said: “First question… I had to hang on!”
Teasing the contestant, he pointed at her as he repeated the question: “What animal is the university of Florida mascot Alberta Gator…”
Seeing the funny side of her gaffe, Emma explained: “I was thinking about the teeth, but the rest of it went a bit haywire…”
Then Bradley lost it completely, collapsing on to the podium as he tried to recover.
He cried: “I tried to hold on!”
Later on, Emma, Brian and Lizz made it to the Final Chase, and the impressive team managed to win a whopping £66k from Shaun, who kept getting knocked back after numerous wrong answers.
